Victim of a break-in, fought back, now needs our help! Donate, share, whatever you can. Thank you!!! #Charity #Help #BaBB

At 4:45am on November 17, 2014, Deena Rae experienced a home invasion and brutal attack from the perpetrator.

Deena ICU

Deena in the ICU

Had she not fought her assailant, she’d be dead and her children motherless. The attempted murderer stabbed her four times–in the pelvis, in her torso narrowly missing her heart, in her face, and lacerated her liverbefore running away into the darkness.

When the police came out, the attempted murderer was long gone, and cops say they won’t find the perp, because he has a fairly nondescript profile. I find it appalling no efforts are being made to get this dangerous man off the streets before he successfully claims the life of another unsuspecting victim. Thankfully, he failed with Deena.

Had Deena been sleeping that night rather than working the long hours single mothers often do when trying to support a household of four, she certainly would not be with us today. In February, her elderly mother experienced a horrific leg break resulting in surgery, and now Deena, who is trying to still heal from her liver injury, is still trying to work and take care of her mother, too. Her work hours have been cut severely, but the one thing that never gets cut are the steady stream of bills.

Bill collectors have been calling, and the medical bills for the household are piling up. Deena is a generous, loving woman who would do anything for anyone, and it hurts my heart to have to type this request for help. Not because it’s wrong to help someone, but because someone who radiates such love and kindness is rare, and the world would be a worse place for the loss of someone so beautiful in heart and spirit as Deena Rae.

Any donations are appreciated to ease the financial burden on her and her family so she can focus on healing and helping her youngest daughter recover from the trauma of seeing her mother covered in blood, thinking she was already dead, before the ambulance arrived.

Thank you in advance for anything you can contribute to help this family during such a dark and difficult time in their lives. Donation button is just below, and even a dollar makes a difference.

Other ways you can help Deena:

    • Print this campaign sign, and post them on bulletin boards in schools, churches, and other places permitted: Deena print flyer

  • Share this post with others on social media.

Thank you so much!

Trust is everything: The Good Samaritan by Jolie Mae Miller

I was given this book in exchange for a honest review:
People in general seem to think those with a absurd amount of money are stuck-up and all for themselves. It takes these folks with money to make the world go around. This story shows different sides to having “Money” and what it can do to you and your life. . Elizabeth Macintyre& Jeremy Macintyre had it all, a house they built especially for them, two beautiful children and a sexual life most married couples dream of. Jeremy loses his job, What happens when things take a turn for the worst? Do they come out on top? Jack Loving Jr. doesn’t really like growing up with money, he doesn’t get the life he wants because of what’s expected of him. He meets a older woman Erin who he has his first sexual encounter with. To keep up with her, he studies all kinds of sexual pleasures. She leaves him to pursue her music career, he goes to college heart broken, still “very” interested in sex, studies all kinds of ways people have sex.The couples are very sexual in this book. Jack meets Victoria and falls for the sexy vixen, against his friends wishes. Throw in Mark Chesney a handsome financial philanthropist and friend to Jack and other wealthy friends. They all meet when things get hot and heavy. Can these couples survive “Money” and the problems that come with it. Download your copy to find out. It’s a very well written story, you’ll laugh, cry, want to punch someone.

Who to believe: Mr.Charalambus and The One Soul by Peter Forster

This is the first book I’ve read by this author, I’ve read his missives on Facebook, so I didn’t hesitate to download one of his books. A totally different fantasy book that doesn’t disappoint. Mr. Charalambus is hard to figure out, I think that’s one of the reasons I like this book. Josep is lying in a ditch wondering how he got there, he’s hearing someone, or is he dreaming. Cora is a healer, she gives Josep two drops of liquid called tears of the fable wolf dragon, that revives him, he instantly falls for her. It’s hard to leave her behind being she’s the only one he remembers. There’s someone talking, it’s his old horse lightening, yes a talking horse. Cora tells Josep that he has to replace the liquid, it won’t be easy. Josep is still not sure of what’s expected of him. He sets off, very wobbly still, with lightening by his side. He meets up with Mr.Charalambus, he’s so nice, he introduces him to rich society people. Don’t let his good natured side fool you, Mr. Charalambus has a personality that draws you in, but expects much from you. Will Josep find what he’s looking for? Download yours now to find out if Lightening and Josep replace the Tears of the Fable Dragon, or lead down a road of evil… A very well written fantasy read.

Daily missive from Peter Forster

Daily missive for Friday the 27th of February.
It was only a lunch box.
Battered now,
And faded from too much sun.
A lighter blue,
Than it once was, when new.
The superman logo
Peeled away long ago.
Even the catch was gone,
And he kept it closed
With an old leather strap.
Washed it out under a tap,
In the convenience,
At the station.
He was careful about hygiene.
And obsessively,
Kept hands and face clean,
Which was unusual these days.
It was a ritual,
And reminded him of carbolic soap,
Hanging on a rope.
The coarse feel of a flannel,
Dragged across his face.
The slap of a hand,
On his bare backside,
Whenever he cried,
Which he usually did,
When the suds got in his eyes.
He stared at himself
In the stainless steel mirror
Above the sink.
Cupped his hands
And tried to drink,
As the water dribbled
Through his beard.
And held his breath against the stink
Of other men
And their foul habits.
Perhaps he should
Make his way to the platform,
Lay open the box,
Play a few tunes
Get enough money
For some new strings,
Buy a breakfast
And a sandwich for later.
The box was made for such things.
It was a good find.
In a builders skip,
Where he had tried to sleep
Among the black bags.
Warm but heady,
And he needed
To be ready
For the garbage truck.
It would be just his luck,
One day,
To sleep in,
And end up in a land fill.
Not that he
Would be the first.
He stooped,
To slurp another drink,
Nothing seemed to quench his thirst
These days.
It was the diabetes,
And the cold was
Playing havoc
With his extremities.
His toes were black,
There was no coming back,
What a mess.
He should have demanded more,
Not less,
From the divorce.
If she saw him now
Would she feel remorse?
But that would not happen.
She was long gone,
On the other side of town
And he was
Washing in a toilet,
Just another,
Sad old John.
