The cover spoke to me! This book of poetry touched me in many ways. Regina touches on many subjects with her poetry, from reminding people to stop and smell the roses, to having faith in yourself and the world around you. Believe me she know the world today! Poems on missing those we love, what the heart wants, our soldiers and more. She always makes me think about the words she writes and how it resonates with life, people, places and me. I found this book more serious than others, maybe that’s the way I read her words. How would this book make you feel?
This author shows her diverse writing skills in this book. Some stories I’ve read before, the ones I haven’t, I was glad I picked up this book. I’ve read this author’s horror tales, she just keeps getting better. Her Characters are strong minded individuals that rule the story. Her romantic stories are so surreal, you can ride the wave with the characters. You can tell Regina is a seasoned author, her stories are detailed and riveting. Download one of her books and you’ll have a new author to read, I promise. If your a poetry lover you’ll love her work.
Regina Puckett I’ll Accept His Gift
Light peered over the treetops
Glistening off tiny dewdrops
A moment in time and space
A gift of God’s good grace
His voice was in the breeze
Knocking me to my knees
Today is a precious present
All He asks is for us to be content
So I’ll accept His gift and carry on
Before it’s too late and it’s gone
This author puts pen to paper and writes about life, bullying, loneliness, love, children and dreams. I don’t know how she does it but, I really enjoy her poems. They resonate with all parts of life. Joy fills some pages, while tears can be found also. “The Walk” is one of my favorite, she speaks to children in “Children”. It’s not deep poetry, it’s satisfying. Download your copy today.
