“Only I Can Hear”by Regina Puckett

imageThe cover spoke to me! This book of poetry touched me in many ways. Regina touches on many subjects with her poetry, from reminding people to stop and smell the roses, to having faith in yourself and the world around you. Believe me she know the world today! Poems on missing those we love, what the heart wants, our soldiers and more. She always makes me think about the words she writes and how it resonates with life, people, places and me. I found this book more serious than others, maybe that’s the way I read her words. How would this book make you feel?

Sleeping With Earth by Ben Ditmars #review @benditty

imageWhen Ben told me he was coming out with a new book I couldn’t wait to read it. I’ve read all of Ben’s poetry and story books, this one is worth the waiting. It’s about the world and the people of today. Drugs, murder, suicide, love and the worlds problems. I loved the story poem, “The Nights End”. Ben also collaborated with a few authors, a sweet surprise. Ford Forkum(love his work) and Susie Clevenger, another great poet. Take the time and download this awesome poetry book.

Military Boots by Dawn Torrens

A powerful poetry book! War is inevitable because we have to stick up for ourselves and help those that can’t against those wanting to hurt us. Unfortunately we all know of someone whom wars have hurt, family, friends etc… This poetry book gives tribute to our our siblings past and present who have died so we can live. Those who are still here, mothers, sisters, brothers.. The author has done phenomenal job writing her feelings for all these soldiers and thier loved ones. Worth the read!!!

Poetry by The Midnight Writer Aka Ben Ditmars

I have often wondered what tears look like
underneath a microscope, until I saw
how tears of grief were not glass shards,
those of hope did not skip like stones
or dance as I imagined tears of laughter,
flowing past a nonexistent bridge
composed of crying for the souls
we can’t replace.
