A Mother’s Love

Regina Puckett

Boo boos kissed – a miracle cure

A beautiful time when love was pure

No matter how hard the reproach or scold

Your mother’s love would always wrap and enfold

You trusted no matter how far you left the path

Love always out shadowed any flash of wrath

And yet still no matter how far we travel down life’s highway

A mother’s love follows us through each and every night and day

Family: ” Not Without Nancy” (Fourth book in the Texas Boys Falling Fast series) by Jan Romes

Whenever I want a little faith in men and human kindness, I read one of Jan Romes books. I just read the fourth installment in The Texas Boys Falling Series, “Not Without Nancy”. I’ve read everyone of them. These men are the sweetest, handsome, rich and nicest men in Texas. Each one has family and friends that’ll be there no matter the circumstances. Each story unique in it’s own way. This is Trigg and Nancy’s story, I think one of my favorite, Nancy just rocks! Trigg is the rancher of the boys, I love him because he is so down to earth, literally. Nancy is a RN, Trigg has had eyes for Nancy since the moment he’d met her through Maggie. He’s let her know it to, she’s turned him down every time. Nancy is basically married to her job, most nurses are overworked and understaffed. Their friends think their meant for each other, the press shows Trigg in a different way. Nancy doesn’t need heart ache in her life, she’s had enough of that. Can Trigg and Nancy’s friends help these two, or is there still one more Texas boy on the market? I’ve looked forward to every one of these stories. The characters are people that I enjoy spending time with. Download your copy and meet some new friends.

Perspectives on Life, the Universe and Everything

Suddenly a melodious tune I hear
Sound of heaven in my ears
Bringing back far away years
Childhood, grandfather, I
Listening to the radio,
Moments just fly,
Alghoza by Misri on air
Sky became clear
Birds would sing
Bells would ring
Joys it brings
Barns, golden lands
Wheat, working hands
More energy was found
All around, work quickens
Heart cleaned blood thickens
Suddenly the magic ceases
Record ends, pulse eases,
tears runs through my heart
Eyes long for one last look
If I can see all of it again
My hand holding his one finger
That memory lingers and lingers
His wisdom and fables
Our walk to stables
His talk and my babels
All gone, except that tune
Reminding me every moment
I spent, wisdom he lent,
Still carry me through this life
Thank you granddad,
I will see him in heaven
I just hope one exists
Because I miss…

The drink ruins lives: “Blood Isle” by Mark Stone #bookreview #share

The drink ruins lives: Calasade: Blood Isle by Mark Stone

“Spoiler Alert”

I was given this ARC in exchange for a honest review, I’ve read from this author before, this was no hardship for me.
Set in the Greco-Roman time, a fantasy with barbarians, swords & sorcery: Caderyn lost his wife to his stupidity of the drink and gambling, he had it all, titles, a great job and a fine place to live with his wife Elianne. Now he was battling demons, always being tested with them and life. Will he win his battle, or is the pull to drink to much? Jana had been looking for him for a fortnight, she was sent by Lepidus to ask him to help find Indrasena for coin. Indrasena was a very young girl kidnapped from his home in the night. With all that has happened in his life already, Caderyn wasn’t to keen on someone relying on him but, he needed the money to try to make a fresh start. The other part that bothered him was the pull on his britches that Jana has made, he’s still married in his heart. He’s never strayed (that he can remember anyway). He’s seen way to much, it haunts his dreams. You need to read this book to find out about Caderyn’s demons. Jana doesn’t give up a lot of information on the girl, it makes Caderyn wonder who and what this girl is to Lepidus. Caderyn decided to do it, he made his demands clear, he needed men, weapons and more money than offered. Jana agreed to his terms as along as she can go back and help find the girl with them. This book is meticulously written. I didn’t know some of the words but, I knew what they meant by reading the sentence. Download your copy and read about Caderyn and his journey to find himself again. You get a look at the authors stunning artwork, more reason to download
