Men!!! “Unsurpassed” by Charity Parkerson

The first book in this series starts off with an explosion of friendship and lust. Aubrey dreams of having her two guy friends in her bed. Max and Ryan are sexy hard chiseled MMA fighters, Aubrey is learning kick boxing at the gym. As she watches them she can’t help but enjoy the all the ripples and six packs.Aubrey hopes they don’t know how she feels about them. They asked her to go away for a weekend with them to a Charity event that happened to be for the hospital she worked at. There she met another sexy man Drew. Drew was the host of the event and the owner of the No Rival fight club. Aubrey found him to be very sexy to as he’s also a MMA fighter, hard muscles and sexy as hell, his baldness added to his sexiness. Now what’s a girl to do! Will Max and Ryan be jealous or make it easy for Aubrey to be with Drew? Will her fantasy of being with the two of them come true? One of my favorite sentences was when Aubrey told Drew she always wanted to touch his Unsurpassed tattoo, I got the chills all over..

Just have Faith: Accendo(third book in the LightBearer Series) by Emily Guido

This review is hard, as this is the third book in this series and I have many emotional ups and downs, especially in this book. I’ve come to know and love the characters because the author has done a outstanding job with describing them and their personalities. I’ve wondered what was going on even when I wasn’t reading. If you were reading my reviews or read the series, you know the egotistic stupidness of the men. They went to battle with the Elder Counsel and got defeated just as Charmeine predicated they would. They had to retreat with one family member dead and Charmeine barley holding onto life. Tabbruis was beside his self for not believing in his wife and queen. Will Charmeine stay in Heaven or return to earth to stand beside her husband and family to defeat the Elder counsel? The Elder Counsel still didn’t have what they wanted, Charmeine. Dimitri, Tabbruis and the rest of the family knew they’d come after them. It took a couple of months for Charmeine to come out of it. In that time Tabbruis learned a lot about their relationship and how it came about. Will the gentlemen listen to Charmeine for the next battle? Can Charmeine ever forgive Tabbruis as a husband and protector? Will they defeat the counsel and have their entire family returned to them? Will they have faith in their queen of Light Bearers and Blood Hunters? It’s all in this book and so much more. The books flow from one to the other effortlessly. A surprise ending had me crying out for another book in this series. My time has come to a end with Charmeine, Tabbruis, Shane, Thomas, Dimitri, Neal and Sandra. I’m Sad!! Read this series, you’ll know what I mean. “Mactus” my LightBearers & BloodHunters!

‘Semper tua ero’ “Mactus” (LightBearers Series) #2 by Emily Guido

So I read “Charmeine” the first book in this series, I fell in love with the story and the characters. Charmeine full of light, love and energy, literally, also a great sense of humor. Tabbruis, a 8,000 year old BloodHunter, turned good and fights for his kind who are like him, they only feed on animals not humans. He’s dark, handsome, a vampire and loyal. Dimitri, one of Tabbruis’s BloodHunter brothers, loyal, knowledgable because he’s the oldest of them, also very handsome. Shane, Charmeine’s friend since they were young. They are in Romania now, they had to leave NYC because a BloodHunter was after Charmeine. Tabbruis has his home there and feels they will be safe there with Dimitri. We meet new characters in this book that I also fell for. A couple big secrets revealed throughout this book. A family finally back together have to fight with their lives to stay that way. Will they be strong enough to bring down the Elders? Does bringing Charmeine to Romania bring her closer to death. When I wasn’t reading, I was wondering what the characters were up to! The author does such a great job with personalities of the characters I get emotionally involved and can’t wait to get back to them. LOL! Awesome! Now I get to read the last book, I’m looking forward to it, also dreading it being the end of my time with all them. One of my favorite quotes’Semper tuus ero’, read the story to find out the definition! Hehe :).

Excerpt:

Leaning against the cool wood of the hotel room door, she met his stare trying hard not to smile like an idiot.
“This was fun.”
Drew’s eyes flashed. “If you ask nicely, I’ll let you take me to bed.”
She shook her head at his antics. “What if I’m not feeling especially nice?”
Drew brushed his hand over her hip. “You’re right. You do feel naughty,” he agreed. Holding her stare, he bent closer, giving her time to protest his advance. The door opened at Aubree’s back. If she hadn’t hit the solid wall of Max’s chest, she might have ended up sprawled across the floor. Tilting back her head, she took note of the angry expression on Max’s face before switching her gaze back to Drew. His eyes danced with humor as he mouthed, “Denied,” and Aubree slapped her hand over her mouth to smother her giggles.
“Have a nice night, Drew.” Drew ignored Max’s snarling words.
“May I see you again?”
“I’d like that,” she answered without hesitation. Max growled. At the sound, Drew flashed him a cocky grin before giving her a wicked version of it and turning away. As soon as he moved out of the doorway, Max slammed it closed, focusing his ire on her. She’d never seen him truly angry before now. She laughed nervously.
“Are you drunk?”
“No,” she answered, incredulous. “I’ve had two glasses of champagne all night.”
“Your face is flushed.”
Aubree shrugged. “I’m happy. I had a good time.”
Max prowled toward her. The hard set of his jaw caused a flutter of desire to run through her. “Did you forget who you came here with?”
Unable to think of a single retort, she shrugged again. “I’m young and single. Why shouldn’t I enjoy myself?”
Max’s eyes flashed dangerously. His tone had a bite to it when he spoke. “You are not single.”

A bright angel: “Charmeine” by Emily Guido

You can tell this author is romantic at heart, you can see it in her writing. Tabbruis is a 8,000 year old Blood Hunter, at first he fed on humans, then something in him changed and he stopped feeding on humans, started feeding on animals. He thought he was the only one of his kind, then he met Dimitri, he was the same as Tabbruis, didn’t feed on humans. Their kind are suppose to feed on humans, most of their kind do. The Elder counsel would have them die in front of their kind if they found out they don’t feed on humans. Dimitri explained to Tabbruis that there are other entities out there called Light Bearers. They are enemies, they kill each other, they hunt each other down. Tabbruis stayed with Dimitri for awhile and learned things from him, they became as close as brothers. Dimitri told Tab he lost his family because of the Elder counsel, he can’t wait to get even with them. Tabbruis has never been in love, but he vows to help when the time comes. Something is pulling him to NYC, so he leaves and goes there, he can’t help himself, he’s being drawn there. He meets Charmeine there, is she the reason he was drawn there? He goes to a concert and feels there’s a Blood Hunter stalking a human, Charmeine is the one the blood Hunter is stalking. I really can’t say anymore, you’ll have to read it for yourself. I’m reading the second book in this series now. Stay tuned! I love this story!
