Cold Angel Days! Mystery, sci-fi, intrigue. By Clive Johnson.

I love being back in the realm of Dica, with all of its cold walls, castles, mystery, sci-fi and intrigue. I’m back with Falmeard and Geran. This is a series that’s always changing, you never know what’s around the corner or up the stone steps. It’s the fourth book in the series and I wasn’t disappointed. Cold Angel Days puts Falmeard and Geran and her sister prescinda to the test of family and love. Clive writes a tale in his own style of writing. Grab a cold drink or hot one sit back and relax and dig in to this poetic like story. I say poetic because Clives words are in a world all their own. If you haven’t read one of his books, please do so. The Dica series is one of mystery, sci-fi and a love story like no other. Clive has a map that’s actually a work of art, but it’s meant to help understand where your looking and traveling through this series. Once again I’m impressed Clive.Image

A Heart Not Easily Broken(Butterfly Memories) by M.J.Kane

M.J Kane writes about racial relationships in this book. Ebony, Yasmine and Katie met in college. Ebonies parents weren’t happy with her choice of profession, she wanted to be a zoo vet. It took more schooling than the average college student usually did. She moved from North Carolina to California to go to school. Her parents weren’t happy about either. The girls got a house together, Yasmine wanted to be in fashion and Katie was in graphic design. Yasmines family owned a few Inns, so Yasmine ran the one in California because they had needed her for awhile. Ebony was still in school while working for a veterinarian to make money and get credits for college. Katie wa working in her chosen field. The girls went out one night for girls night out. Ebony was dressed to the hilt, with the help of Yasmine and Katie. She felt uncomfortable in her tight dress, but she had said she wanted a man and the girls dressed her for that reason. She is attracted to the drummer in the band, so she goes up front. And starts dancing in front of the band hopping he would look at her. The only person watching her from the band was the guitar player. She wasn’t interested in him. He stared at her at the bar when she returned there. When he came off the stage he went to talk to her. Brian was a white dude and Ebony was black. Ebony made it clear she wasn’t interested, but Brian invited her to the VIP section after they were done playing. Of course she thought he was cute enough but not her type and the white girls next to her wanted him, they were staring her down when Brian was talking to her, she mentioned this to Brian, but he said he wanted to talk to her not them. Ebony didn’t go to the VIP section. She told the girls about Brian, they said she should have gone. One day she arrives home to find lawn care people working in the yard. Yasmine had told her they’d be there to pay them when they were done. She went to the back to see how they were doing and ran into Brian. She was mad as all at Katie and Yasmine because she thought they set her up. Brian hadn’t stopped thinking about her so he was very happy about his situation, it was another chance to ask her out. Will there families and friends be ok with this if they get together. Down load this perfectly edited book and find out for yourself if Brian and Ebony  make it or not. I’ve already written enough, right! Lol! I would read another book from this author any day, as a matter of fact, I must get Jade now.

A look at a writers life and his women friends. PASSION by Kevin Swarbrick

Image

This is a story rewrite of two of this authors first books, Louie Has Landed The Early Days and the Second Encounter. It’s a story of the author and the relationships he’s had with women. It’s full of love and deception at its highest level. The feelings he had  for these ladies and what they put him through was intense enough to wanna write a story. I can’t imagine what he was feeling reliving it through words written for everyone to read. I’m sure it was his outlet as it is for most authors. After going through a up and down relationship that was abusive at times, you have a hard time trusting people. Mark meets Sarah at a pub he was at with his friend, he thought she’s was beautiful. He couldn’t help but look her way every now and then. There eyes caught and Sarah walked over to Mark and there banter between them was a hit from the beginning. They exchanged numbers and texted. Mark couldn’t keep his excitement about Sarah to himself. His friends reminded him what he just went through and to take it slow with Sarah. Will Mark listen, find out by downloading your copy today. While I found the story very intriguing and full of fun, crazy at times and couldn’t wait to turn the page to see what’s happening next, I could only give it 4 stars because it has editing issues. That didn’t take away any of my pleasure while reading this awesome story. Thank you Kevin for sharing what was a hard but true life for you with all of us. I would recommend this read to anyone who likes  a fun at times sad, crazy kind of read.

Rocks you to your core!! Nocturnal Ember by Helle Gade

I knew this author was one to look out for, I was right. Her first poetry book(Silent Dreams) touched my heart and soul, I could feel her words. Nocturnal Embers is even better. The cover pulls you in first, then her poems of pain, seasons, innocence of children and dreams rock you to your core. The dreams that pull at your head and heart written for all to feel. The photography was a great surprise, when you look at the photos after reading the poems you can see her words in them. The author took those photos! Not many words on the page, but powerful enough to feel her message. I have total respect for this author showing and sharing her inner pain. Some of my favorite poems are, ( Writing) this poem reminds me of all my author friends and how they make us readers feel. Memories, just beautiful. Child’s soul, a reminder of our childhood and us now. Helle sticks to her roots of Nordic mythology throughout the book. Please hit that button, if you don’t you will never feel her words. Thank you Helle for sharing your beautiful words with us. I would totally recommend the author to anyone who likes to feel what they read in a poem.Image

My review of Dark Spaces By Dionne Lister

This book has nine short stories and flash fiction that keeps you on the edge of your seat through out each story. The characters personality shines through. This is the perfect book for those who enjoy a little scare after dark. Personally I think it’s the best time to read this book. A little thriller of a book. In some stories decisions have to be made of life and death. To find out if the right ones were made download this well written little gem to find out, I dare you! Mawh!! Thank you for sharing Dionne. I’ve read Dionne’s books and will continue reading her books.
